We aim to promote equality by
ensuring the services we provide are accessible to
Parking and drop-off points
Extra wide spaces for wheelchair users are available in the
multi-storey car park, from which there is a level walkway to the
Disabled parking facilities are available for cars
displaying disability badges/discs near entrance 11 (D block) and
the disabled car park near entrances 7/ 8 (courtyard entrance).
Parking is free only for drivers of vehicles who receive both
free road fund tax and display a disability disc.
Drop-off points are available at entrance 10 - waiting is
limited to 20 minutes.

Wheelchairs are available via a £1 refundable deposit at a
variety of points in the car park and within the hospital itself. A
covered walkway leads from the multi-storey car park (level G) to
the main hospital (entrances 6 and 7/8).
Visual or audio impairment
If you have any special requirements, such as help with visual
or hearing impairment or language or communication matters, please
let a member of staff know, or contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service
(PALS) to find out what support is available to you.
Our range of patient information leaflets are available in
various formats, including large print, Braille, and foreign
languages, through the Health
We can arrange qualified British Sign Language
(BSL)interpreters and lip speakers by prior arrangement.

If you are deaf or hard of hearing, a text telephone is
available in the emergency
