Areas of clinical research

R&I team

Various departments undertake a range of different types of research at Poole Hospital.

Research is supported by the National Institute for Health Research, and includes testing new medications and vaccines, looking at combinations of existing medications, and testing whether giving treatments in different ways can make them more effective or reduce side effects.
