The Hospital is situated on Longfleet Road (A348) ½ mile from Poole Town Centre. Transport should be arranged with family or friends. An ambulance is only available for medical reasons. Click on this link to find us on Google Maps
To help you plan your journey we have provided some information on the following:
We have also provided the Journey Planner below.
Using the Journey Planner
Choose whether you are travelling to or from the hopital. Enter your post code, select the date on which you will be travelling and choose the time at which you wish to depart or arrive. Then click 'Go'. A new browser window will open and your journey options will be presented to you. Depending on your connection (and other factors) it may take a minute or two to calculate. This service is provided by Transport Direct
A similar public transport and journey planning service is provided by Traveline. For enquiries ring on 0870 608 2 608 or visit www.travelinesw.com
If you do not have a family member or friends that can drive you home, we are able to help you order a taxi but do not cover the costs. This means having enough money with you to pay for the taxi. It is useful to have somebody on ‘standby’ to collect you as transport can be a big factor in delaying going home.
If you receive Income Support, Working Tax Credit and/or Child Tax Credit or Income Based Job Seekers Allowance, you may be able to reclaim your travel costs. You will need to show your benefit book and any tickets at the Travel Claims office. Please ask for directions at the reception desk (Entrance 10). Find where on the Poole Hospital site plan.
