Poole Hospital opens exclusive new private patient suite

Poole Hospital has officially opened a new suite for private patients. The Cornelia Suite offers private patients a dedicated suite of rooms within the hospital and has been launched with the aim of generating additional income to reinvest into care for NHS patients.
The new facility contains six private rooms, all with en-suite facilities, and is located on the fifth floor of the hospital, offering patients spectacular views of Poole and the harbour. Designed with comfort in mind, the rooms provide an exclusive facility for private patients, but with the experience and expertise of an established NHS hospital on-hand.
The opening of the new suite marks an important step in the development of private patient services at Poole Hospital. The hospital has offered some services to private patients for many years, but the launch of the suite will allow the trust to generate more income from private care, which can then be reinvested to support care for NHS patients.
The hospital offers private patients access to a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including diagnostic tests such as x-rays and scans, cardiology, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, orthopaedic care, endoscopy, gynaecology and a range of surgical options.
All private care within the hospital will be managed carefully to ensure that it does not in any way impact on the delivery of care to NHS patients, and the trust has established robust procedures and policies to ensure this is the case.

The Cornelia Suite includes six private rooms. All have been fully refurbished and offer en-suite facilities, adjustable air conditioning and complimentary TV and radio. Private patients can also enjoy a specially designed a la carte menu, free wi-fi and complimentary daily newspapers.
