Chris Bown Joins Poole Hospital As Chief Executive
Poole Hospital's new Chief Executive, Chris Bown
Chris Bown has now taken up his post as Chief Executive at Poole Hospital following the retirement of Sue Sutherland.
Chris brings a wealth of experience in the management of NHS acute hospitals to his new post. Before joining Poole Hospital, he was the Chief Executive at West Suffolk Hospital NHS Trust in Bury St Edmunds, and previously worked as Director of Operations at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
He has Board level experience in the management and development of Clinical Services, Facilities and Estates, Business, Strategic and Capital Planning, Commissioning and Human Resource Management.
Sue Sutherland’s retirement followed over four years in post as Chief Executive, during which time she oversaw the Hospital’s successful application to become a Foundation Trust and furthered the Trust’s commitment to providing friendly, professional, patient-centred care.
Chris, who was born in Dorset, said: “I am delighted to be returning to Dorset and look forward to the challenges ahead as we continue to improve the quality of the care we give to our patients at Poole Hospital.”
