Annual members' meeting is a success

Guests at the annual members' meeting had the opportunity to meet the 'men behind the masks' in a presentation from a laparoscopic surgeon and anaesthetist
The second annual meeting for members of Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust was held on Thursday 24 September. The event was well attended by staff and public members, who took the opportunity to find out more about the Trust's plans and hear a presentation on laparoscopic surgery.
Guests had the chance to find out more about the benefits of keyhole surgery in a presentation from ‘the men behind the masks’ – Mr Tas Qureshi, Consultant Surgeon and Lead Laparoscopic Surgeon and Dr Simon Jackson, Consultant Anaesthetist.
The meeting took place at the Lighthouse, Poole’s Centre for the Arts, from 6.30pm-8pm. The evening also included a presentation from Chief Executive Sue Sutherland about the Hospital’s work and plans, and a summary of the Trust’s financial performance from Director of Finance David Taylor. Guests also had the opportunity to ask questions in a Q&A session.
Membership of Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is free and can involve as much or as little as people wish. To find out more about becoming a Foundation Trust member, visit www.poole.nhs.uk/foundation_trust.
