If you feel that your company or colleagues would like to become involved with Poole Hospital Charity, we’d love to hear from you! Support and involvement may include helping to promote our events, having a collecting tin in your work place, entering a team into one of our quiz nights, doing some volunteering or taking part in a charity challenge like an abseil or skydive.
We can raise awareness of your company, provide PR opportunities and increase staff morale and motivation. Poole Hospital has created some excellent partnerships with local businesses and is looking to create many more.
Payroll giving
This is a simple way for you to commit a relatively small amount of money to the Hospital straight from your pay packet. Any employee or pensioner can do this as long as their organisation is deducting Pay As You Earn from their pay or pension.
- Donations are deducted from your pre-tax salary. You will only be taxed on your remaining net salary;
- There is no minimum donation;
- Your employer must give their consent before a Payroll Giving Scheme can be operated-half the employers in the UK are set up to run the Payroll Giving Scheme.
Hospital Gift
Poole Hospital Charity is offering local businesses the chance to support Poole Hospital at no cost to your business or colleagues! Contact us for a free Hospital Gift loyalty card which enables you to purchase a wide range of goods online from a host of major retailers, while generating donations for Poole Hospital Charity. Hospital Gift loyalty card customers can support their local NHS Hospital Charity every time they shop online. 50% of the commission generated by the customer shopping online will be donated directly to their local NHS hospital.
The online prices are exactly the same as if you shopped directly with the retailer. Please support your local hospital and enjoy shopping from the comfort of your home!

The Wish List was The Bank of New York Mellons charity for 2008! Throughout the year we received generous support including a fantastic donation of £8000! Staff also visited the hospital at Christmas to deliver presents to patients. Most recently staff worked in Portland Wards sensory garden and donated plants to create a wonderful environment for our patients as part of the companies Earth Day!
Liverpool Victoria and Salisbury Financial Services donated £10,000 to our Stroke Unit which was used to purchase a patient hoist!
Staff from Wilts & Dorset delivered Christmas presents to our elderly patients!
