How you can help!

There are so many ways that you can help and get involved with fundraising for Poole Hospital, from organising your own event to volunteering for The Wish List!

Volunteering: Volunteers play a vital role in our fundraising.  Can you spare a couple hours every week or month? Volunteering for the Wish List can be a lot of fun and is a great way to meet new friends.

Volunteering work can be anything from helping at town centre street collections, working on our book stall or helping at our events. Contact us for more details on volunteering for the Wish List!

 

 

 

Donations: All donations, no matter how small, will help us achieve our objectives.  We accept cash, cheque and credit/debit card donations or alternately you can now donate on line by visiting www.justgiving.com/phwl/donate

Become a regular supporter: You can give monthly, quarterly or yearly donations by standing order and choose an amount which suits your budget.  Please contact our office for the necessary forms or alternately visit www.justgiving.com/phwl/donate.  Your regular donations allow us to plan ahead with priority projects.

Collecting tin: We'd like to get lots of Wish List collecting tins into the community! Do you have or know of a local business where we could display our collecting tin?

Book Stall: The Wish List holds a book stall every Wednesday and Friday from 10.00am to 3.00pm. Come and have a look at our wide selection of quality secondhand books. If you'd like to donate books please drop them off at the Wish List office between 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

Legacies: Help us make a difference by leaving a legacy for the Wish List.  Legacies, both large and small make a huge difference to our work.  For more information please contact our office.

Hospital Gift loyalty card: The Wish List would like to give you the opportunity to support Poole Hospital and it won’t cost you a penny!!

Collect your Hospital Gift loyalty card today from Poole Hospital and start donating commission from your on-line shopping at no extra cost to you!

With the new Hospital Gift loyalty card you can purchase a wide range of goods on-line from a host of well known retailers which generates a donation for your chosen NHS Hospital charity. Every time a purchase is made on-line 50% of the commission generated will be donated to your chosen hospital at no cost to the consumer. The on-line prices are exactly the same as if you had shopped directly with the retailer and there will be many exclusive online offers.

To shop on-line simply logon to www.hospitalgift.co.uk and choose Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. In the near future the card will be introduced in stores. A percentage of the amount you spend will be donated to your chosen hospital and the amount of the donation will be shown on the receipt.

Gift Aid: Did you know that you can increase the value of your donation at know extra cost to you? For every pound you donate we can claim additional money from the Inland Revenue.  All we need is your donation complete with your FULL name, address, signature and a tick in the GIFT AID box on our Wish List leaflet!

How to get involved

Organise a fundraising event! Here are ideas for just some of the ways you can get involved. There are many different ways you can organise an event and we are here to help you every step of the way, ensuring that whatever you decide to do is a great success! Whatever your interests there are plenty of events you can plan around the activities you love and also raise money at the same time.

Shop with us: Visit the Wish List Gift Shop, it is located on the main reception corridor of the hospital.

The shop is open from 10.00am – 3.00pm Monday to Friday.  It sales an exciting collection of gifts and novelty items for all occasions.  All proceeds go to the Wish List.  Many wards do not allow flowers so this is your opportunity to purchase a gift for a loved one.

 

 

Recycling: Send us your old mobile phones and printer cartridges, we can turn this into cash for the Wish List.
