Help us find our shining stars

We're searching for our shining stars and unsung heroes, and we need your help. For the first time, we're asking the public and our patients, as we well as our staff and Foundation Trust members, to help us to find those who go that extra mile for our patients and our colleagues.

They may be in a patient-facing role - a nurse, doctor, or porter - or they may be someone who works behind the scenes and is essential to the smooth running of our hospitals and our ability to provide excellent care. They may be a patient safety champion, for example a cleaner or an infection control lead for their area, or they may be a team behind an innovative new way of working that is benefitting our patients or staff right now.

Whatever their role, we invite you to help us celebrate what makes Poole Hospital special - our staff, fundraisers and volunteers - by letting us know who you think should be recognised. And it's easy to get involved using our online nomination form (which opens in a new window in your browser to allow you to refer back to this section if you need to, for example the judging criteria).

“The Poole Hospital Awards are a great way to recognise those who go that extra mile, either for our patients, colleagues or the organisation,” said Angela Schofield, chairman of Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

“There are so many ways in which individuals and teams are delivering above and beyond expectations, and I’m confident in this year’s awards we’ll learn of even more exceptional practices.

“It's particularly exciting to involve the public and our patients for the first time, and encourage as many nominations as possible to help us to celebrate our success.”
