About judging
All nominations will be reviewed, and those which are incomplete or illegible will be excluded. A team comprising representatives of the Trust's executive directors team, communications department, company secretariat and senior nursing/midwifery will then review those nominations remaining.
Using the judging criteria, an assessment will be made on those that most fit with this criteria and these remaining nominations will then be passed to the judging panel for their final decisions.
About the judging panel
The exact membership of the judging panel is to be confirmed, but it is anticipated it will comprise members including senior nursing, surgical and medical representatives, a non-executive director and an NHS Foundation Trust governor.
The decisions of the juding panel will be final.
About the Chairman's Award
The Trust's chairman, Angela Schofield, will make her own discretionary award at the awards presentation evening. The Chairman's Award is not open to nominations, and the chairman will make her decision based on her own criteria, including outstanding achievement and excellence.
